Daniella's Pecan Sandies

These are simply melt in your mouth delicious! My daughter found the recipe and I was a bit skeptical as it has so few ingredeints, but WOW was I surprised. She is the best cookie baker in our kitchen for sure!

Pecan Sandies
1 cup of sweet butter
1/2 cup sugar (you kind of really need plain old white sugar for these)
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla (she used brandy as we were out of vanilla and it added a nice taste to them!)
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans (put them in a bag and bang)

preheat oven to 325
cream the sugar and butter
add water and vanilla and mix
add flour and pecans and mix
chill 3-4 hours (she freezes them for 40 minutes instead)
form balls and *roll in a bowl of sugar *(this was her idea and it was a good addition!)
place on ungreased sheet and bake for 20 minutes (she does 2 sheets at a time and rotates them half way through)
bake for 20 minutes and cool
