Figs Ischia Style

Vigliacco Alla Ischia
(Figs Ischia Style)

This recipe is from my Mom's memory of what she ate every morning while on her honeymoon in Ischia.

Several very ripe figs
Crusty Italian Bread toasted
Butter

Spread the butter on the toasted side of the bread slices. Place the figs on top and mash and spread on to the bread. Enjoy with a cup of cappuccino!
