Champagne Gift Basket

~Danielle & George Rabanal~

I made a Honeymoon Champagne basket for my daughter and her new hubby and I wanted to share it with all of you! For the champagne I chose Montaudon Extra Dry (They prefer a sweeter champagne over a drier Brut) which was highly recommended by the champagne guy at Total Wine. He said it beat a Dom Perignon in a blind taste test and even though it is was not cheap ($32) it was way less expensive than a bottle of Dom ($200) And since I wanted to make the champagne the star of the basket kind of like this pricey Champagne Gift Basket I figured I would spend the money on a  good champagne and then just get a few items from Trader Joes. I got his and her favorite cheese, meat, and chocolate along with some candy and crackers. The retro glasses are  from a thrift store (.50 cents each) and since my daughter said she didn't want an actual bakset but rather a shopping  bag I went with the Trader Joes bag for our future shopping trips together! My total: $55 which is  $95 cheaper than the above Champagne Gift Basket!

Your daughter is a beautiful bride! A very thoughtful and fun gift basket! The chocolate covered pomegranate seeds look fabulous.
