Frutti Di Mare (Frozen Mixed Seafood from Trader Joes)

Frutti Di Mare or fruits of the sea is a wonderful Neapolitan dish consisting of mixed seafood, white wine, a little Marinara sauce, and pasta. It is usually made with fresh seafood but I recently tried it with a bag of frozen mixed seafood from Trader Joes and it was so good! Now I am not saying it is the same as using fresh seafood but for a nice simple mid week meal it was pretty awesome : )
Trader Joes mixed seafood blend
 Ingredients
1 pound bag frozen seafood blend
1 pound pasta (linguine is classic for this dish)
olive oil
3/4 cup marinara sauce
1/2 cup white wine
fresh parsley
3-4 garlic cloves
optional: red pepper flakes just a small amount
Directions
Start your pasta water using a large amount of seas salt.
In a pan next to it heat up enough oil to coat the bottom and saute the garlic being sure to not brown it at all.
Add red pepper flakes if using.
Add the wine and cook for 1 minute.
When the pasta has 5 minutes of cooking left add the seafood and saute for the final 5 minutes or until the shrimp turns pink.
Add the sauce and warm through.
Drain the pasta but reserve 1/4 cup of the water.
Add the water to the sauce and then the pasta, cook for 2-3 minutes with the lid off to thicken. The sauce will thicken up after it is off the heat as well.
Add the parsley and more olive oil, serve with good Italian bread and chilled white wine just like in Napoli!
