Think of these as that soft chewy crust on your favorite pizza dipped in garlicky oil or better yet, like an Italian soft pretzel! My family loves these so much that I always make a double batch which works out perfectly because my pizza dough recipe is for 2 pizzas.
Ingredients
1 pizza dough (Homemade or store bought)
olive oil 5-6 tablespoons
4 garlic cloves crushed but not cut up or chopped
coarse salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 400
Flour your counter and roll the dough out to a large rectangle: 16X10
Cut crosswise into 16 strips
Fold each strip half and roll out into a snake , they should be about 8 inches long.
Tie each into a knot and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment (You can be creative here with your own signature knot!)
Cover and rise for 10 -15 minutes.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden, meanwhile heat up the oil along with the garlic until you smell the garlicky goodness, 3-5 minutes!
When the knots are done baking immediately brush the oil on each knot, leaving the garlic behind, and then sprinkle the salt on.
