Ingredients
Pizza Dough Recipe ~OR~ Frozen Pizza Dough for 2 pizzas
The topping choices are endless but here is what we used:
For both pizzas:
1 cup mozzarella
1 cup tomato sauce
1 cup Parmesan grated
Winter:
Parsley chopped
8 anchovies (rinsed /dried & chopped)
1 small garlic clove minced
Fresh chopped Parsley
Spring:
1/4 cup Calamata olives pits removed (rinse & dry well)
20 capers (rinse & dry well)
Summer:
2 large tomatoes sliced thin
Fresh herbs chopped or torn (basil, parsley, oregano...)
Fresh Basil leaves (reserve for the end)
Fall:
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped onion
Directions
Turn the oven to 550 and place a stone on the bottom rack OR see Pizza 101 for using a pizza pan.
Roll out the dough into 2 circles and place on two parchment lined pans.
Now spread the tomato sauce between the two pizzas.
Spread the Parmesan all over as well.
Spread the mozzarella on each section except for the Anchovy section instead adding a little more Parmesan if you like.
Now place the toppings on each section for each season except for the fresh basil, that goes on after the pizza is baked.
Slide onto stone (Bake 1 at a time) and bake for 3 minutes. remove the parchment (slip out) and continue baking until golden brown crust and cheese, about 5-7 more minutes.
As soon as you remove from the oven place the basil leaves on the Summer section and drizzle olive oil on crust.

hello by Sandra
I can't wait to eat pizza right now. I should probably run straight to the market and find the ingredients. Thank you for the post.
ReplyDeleteThe topping on this pizza is divided into four quarters, one for each season. You can substitute ingredients for any other seasonal favorites. thanks
ReplyDeleteQuattro stagione pizza is a problem - which slice to eat? or maybe four slices to sample everything? yes, that sounds about right. your version looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteI've been collecting a lot pizza recipes and i would like to add this one too.Thank you for sharing this recipe.
ReplyDeleteI just love it. Recipe is looking great. I will try this at home. Thanks for the share.:)
ReplyDeleteI really crave pizza a lot..I like to eat pizza everyday. I want Hawaiian pizza..Do you have recipe for Hawaiian Pizza?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your posts! I hope this inspires you to create your own signature pizza at home!
ReplyDeleteKatie: For a Hawaiian Style Pizza, how about pineapple (I would try slicing it into rings thinly and grilling it in a dry skillet)and some onion slices grilled as well with some mozzarella and drizzled olive oil on top. I would let the grilled pineapple and onion be the stars of the pizza and really "be" the sauce rather than a tomato sauce for this one.
Really delicious, even LOADED down with veggies it didn't get soggy. It made enough for a lot of pizza as stated, though I didn't see where in the recipe to put the sugar and accidentally omitted it. Even with that mistake it was just delicious.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad it turned out for you Kayla! I looked over the recipe and saw no sugar in the ingredients. Maybe I missed it. But if I did maybe it was for the onions like I do for a Greek salad to help sweeten them up a bit, I am not sure though.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for trying out my recipes and giving me helpful hints! I want to improve my recipes in order that they will be easy to follow so thank you again!
